Marking that shows its work.
RiteUp takes a paper, its memo and a batch of scanned scripts, and returns every script with the memo's ticks on the line of working that earned them — each tick with a one-line reason, the totals in the margin — with a mark sheet, an item analysis and a note for the parent.
Marked by Leo (AI), moderated by Clara (AI), signed by your teacher. Leo and Clara are computer programs, not people. Leo is named for Leonhard Euler.
Disciplines
RiteUp marks by discipline packs: what differs per subject is the memo reader, the rulebook entries, the notation and the glyphs. Mathematics is the first pack, in beta; the others are being prepared.
Mathematics
Memo-faithful ticks on the line of working — M, A, CA, penalise-once, answer-only rules, alternative methods, bilingual labels.
Physical Sciences coming
The same memo conventions, the second pack.
Accounting coming
Ledgers, statements and the marks at their mark points.
Languages coming
Rubric marking for essays and comprehension, with the reason beside each band.
How it works · the Trial run
Nothing is marked in bulk before you have seen Leo mark a few scripts your way.
- Upload the paper, the memo with the marks at the right places, and your instructions in plain words. Leo reads the memo into its parts and marks; you approve it once every total adds up.
- Trial run a few scripts. Leo marks each line of working against the memo; Clara, the auditor, checks every script and flags what she doubts.
- Side by side: the script, the memo criterion, Leo's mark and reason. Accept, change with a reason, or say what the memo meant — a ruling Leo keeps for the rest of the paper. Your decisions are recorded, never overwriting Leo's.
- The gate: your own marking of the trial scripts against Leo's — per mark, per sub-question, the over- and under-awards. Bulk marking starts only when you press Mark the rest.
- The outputs: the marked script as a PDF in the style you chose, the mark sheet, the item analysis for the next lesson, and a one-page note for each learner's parent.
Privacy by design. A script is known by a reference, never a name: the school keeps its register on its side, the name band on a scan is blanked before Leo reads it, and no identifier reaches the model. Scripts are never used to train any model. Deletion is yours at any time.
Leo: A computer program, not a person. Named for Leonhard Euler. Clara is a second computer program, Leo's auditor.
Pricing · the RiteUp purse
The page is the unit, counted by the ink rather than the sheet: a page without ink is not counted, a page under a third full counts as half. One purse per teacher or institution, for any discipline. In this beta nothing is charged; payments open with the founder's act and the prices below are shown in Swiss francs, in your currency at checkout.
100 pages. No expiry while the account is active.
400 pages a month, unused pages banked up to three months; a top-up of 100 pages inside the plan CHF 4.50. Cancel any time; banked pages stay 60 days.
For a school or an academy, by invoice: the pages for the year, the client desk — rulings, your rulebook, standardisation, the agreement figures, the quarterly review — and budgets and alerts for the administrator.
Clara's audit costs half a page per counted page in every package. A job that fails is credited whole; a retry never charges twice.
